The family got together this weekend in Nebraska for a graduation/wedding reception. When Rita (Erin’s Aunt) was calling around for room rates, she found that all the hotels had jacked up their prices for the season already. The Holiday Inn EXPRESS was charging $140!!! Completely outrageous for a lousy hole in the wall.
So she dug a little deeper and found this awesome Bed and Breakfast in Plattsmouth, which happens to be the same small town we were going to anyways. It was more affordable than the hotels, and we ate some rather interesting breakfast’s in the morning… not sure what any of it was called, but it tasted great (Mark probably wouldn’t have eaten though hahah).
The house was filled with all this antique furniture, pictures, etc. It was built in 1905 for $25,000; and sold for $10,000. I wonder how the owner got the price knocked down?
Interesting fact: Reading an article about the place (found in the dinning room), it mentioned that the house was built with a four stall garage, with an underground stall for the Milk Cow.
I took some pictures, but they didn’t turn out nearly as good as the ones on their website, check it out…. Plattsmouth Bed and Breakfast Parmele House

Huh…not happening here…I just booked a room at HIE for Keep’s Bday party this wknd and it was the usual $109. Still expensive but the only hotel in town with a waterslide.

Hotel with pool is the way to go, if you’re doing a b-day party. For our trip though, we spent more time with family than trying to keep the kids occupied.
Helped that there were other kids there too.

It has a similar design, but the inside is obviously waaaay different. There’s probably twice as much square footage.

That figures… can’t even find Mark good music. Meh, you’re interests are pretty much anything BUT mainstream sometimes. I figured it was a 50/50 chance that you’d like it.
